Is Ronnie Negus Back in the Dating Game?

Following her separation from suspected cheater Russell Negus it seems Ronnie Negus has already moved on. A few weeks ago, the Real Housewives of Vancouver star tweeted "Love is SO in the air!" which prompts the question of is she in love and dating again? Hope so. I've met Ronnie personally and she is a wonderful person. Anyone would be lucky to have her!

Was Cheating the Cause for Ronnie Negus's Divorce?

Following the news of her separation from husband Russell Negus, Ronnie Negus tweeted something eyebrow raising. With a picture of infamous cheater Tiger Woods next to his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, she wrote "Elin Nordegren .... Is my Hero! LoL... But I mean #Seriously !!"

Hm.

Ronnie Negus Announces Separation From Husband

The Real Housewives of Vancouver star Ronnie Negus has officially announced her separation from her husband, Russell Negus, of 15 years. She made the announcement this morning on her Facebook page stating:

•*¨*•.¸¸♥ ¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸ SINGLE ¸.•*´¯*¨*•.¸¸♥¸.•*¨*•

It comes with Deep Sadness but also Relief to publicly announce that after 15 years I have decided to end my marriage.

At this time, I do not wish to discuss or disclose the exact reasons for the demise of our union or why I finally decided I had to Leave....

However,
Despite the dissolution, I support and respect Russell as the father of my children & wish him All the Best for the Future.....

The couple have two daughters together, daughters Charlie and Remy. No reason has yet been given for the split. Despite the sad news, I wish Ronnie and Russell all the best.

This separation also means that currently, all Real Housewives of Vancouver cast, past and present, are single. Guess Vancouver isn't so lucky for love.

Is Season 3 of the Real Housewives of Vancouver Being Filmed?

Now before you go losing your pants, I want to make clear that nothing is official, I just heard an interesting bit of information that is certainly eye-brow raising.

Allegedly, Mary Zilba, Ronnie Negus, Jody Claman, and Mashiah Vaughn (you saw her a few times on season 2) are all going to be the UK together. Ronnie is already there, Mary tweeted a fan that she would soon be going, Mashiah has London listed as one of her frequented destinations, and I can't tell if/when Jody's going because she blocked me on Twitter for a defamatory comment. What makes this interesting is that according to a tweet by Ronnie, Mary and Mashiah had a falling out. And I don't think I need to explain why Mary and Jody going is odd. Why would 4 women- three of whom don't like each other- be going to the UK together at the same time?

Mary and Mashiah
Furthermore, Mashiah's Twitter page is down. I wonder if it's to kinda keep her out of the picture until they announce season 3 something happens. I know from post-season 1, a lot of tidbits and clues about what to expect for season 2 were dropped on Twitter by various housewives. Maybe they're keeping a tighter wrap on things.

Also, with countries like Australia, the UK, and Sweden watching the show in large numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if whoever's in charge of the show started getting their act together and realized the demand for another season of the Real Housewives of Vancouver is growing. And don't forget- the show is filmed in the late summer and early autumn which is HAPPENING RIGHT NOW.

OMG the more I type this out, the more I think that this could actually be happening. I really hope so. I miss tweeting mean things to Jody on Tuesday nights.

Inside the Premiere Party!

Last Tuesday was the season 2 premiere of The Real Housewives of Vancouver.  The 'wives (Ioulia Reynolds, Jody Claman, Mary Zilba, Amanda Hansen, Ronnie Negus and Robin Reichman) along with the producers, friends and family celebrated the launch of season at the Loden Hotel downtown Vancouver.

Nice to see the girls all celebrating happily together. I admire them for letting us into their lives, I cant even imagine how hard it must be at times to be in the public eye and having a lot of your life filmed.

Big thank you to Catharine Barr for the the behind the scenes scoop!

New Faces & Old Wounds

Its finally here! The long anticipated Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Vancouver aired February 5th!

This episode started and ended off as a real tearjerker. It mostly focused on the roller-coaster whirlwind of a year that Ronnie Negus and her family has gone through since we last saw her. When people go through rough situations such as these, they tend to close up, Ronnie did the complete opposite, she let the audience into her personal life by sharing how she almost lost her daughter Remington. Ronnie mentions that her daughter has taught her so much about life and has a new outlook. She invited all those that prayed for her daughter and helped save her life (and the 3 new housewives) to her beautiful Oceanside home for a BBQ. Remy herself, thanked everyone and was very social ---I love how polite and outgoing she is, I want to be her friend!

When Remy and Ronnie are thanking everyone that was there for them, sweet Remy asked Mary Zilba to sing for her. At first, Mary was hesitant at first but couldn’t resist Remy saying something along the lines of “Please you’re my Godmom” ---insert tears and us all saying awwww---. Mary looked right into Remingtons eyes has she sang to her latest hit song “Hero” which was meant for people who have over come tough battles in life.

We ended last season with Ronnie stating that she never wishes to speak to Jody Claman again. However, Jody was there for her and helped her though her tough time. We all know about her store “The Glass House”, and her love for fashion and cooking. Materialistic things aside, it was a nice change to hear that she was there for Ronnie, and helped her though it. With the drama that is often highlighted between her and Mary, this episode, we were finally able to see the kind loving side of her… just wish it wasn’t under such crummy circumstances.

Jodys daughter Mia asks her to have a meeting with her friend Amanda Hansenfor some business advice. At first I was a little skeptical as was Jody that they might have gotten off on the wrong foot, yet when Amanda opened up about her struggles with sobriety Jody comforted her and was very supportive of her progress. Again, another example of a softer side of Jody!

Loved seeing each of the ladies more caring moments, good balance from all the drama and nice for us to see their true selves. This episode stood out to me for that reason, because it was based on celebrating Remingtons life. Good environment. However, something tells me this kind and politeness wont keep up for long!

Be sure to check out episode 2 this Tuesday February 12 at 10pm only on Slice!

The Real Housewives and Their Fans

You're only as famous as your fans. In order to stay on top, you need a supportive fan base- the bigger the better. Here we rank the season one's cast of the Real Housewives of Vancouver castmates by their fan pages and their own engagement with their fans via Twitter:

  1. Ronnie Negus: her Twitter fan page @RonnieNegusFans is the most popular with over 500 followers, the longest running and still tweets regularly. Ronnie herself is also pretty social among her admirers. She frequently tweets her fans back or retweets their messages of support. She's also been know to reward her most loyal fans with bottles of Rehab.
  2. Jody Claman: also frequently reaches out to fans. She has also rewarded her most loyal fans with phone calls. She's supported by two pages (although one hasn't tweeted since July) and @LindaNTyler which is essentially a Claman fan page with a different name
  3. Mary Zilba: also regularly reaches out to fans. Her new fan page @MaryZilbaFans is still fairly young but has potential to help build her fan base. She has another fan Twitter page called @MaryZilbaUSA but that one hasn't tweeted since August.
  4. Christina Kiesel: doesn't even have Twitter but has a pretty strong fan page. @CKieselRHOVfans has over 120 followers and still regularly tweets
  5. Reiko Mackenzie: her fan page has been inactive for over a month. Looking through the tweets, almost none of them were about Reiko. And the few tweets reaching out to her went unanswered.
How will season's 2 cast compare to season 1? The season hasn't aired yet so it's too early to tell if who we're making our fan account for. They do seem fairly social and friendly though. Hopefully they'll have the engagement of Ronnie, Jody and Mary, and in turn, just as loyal fans.

___________________________________________

While we're on the topic of not making fan pages prematurely, a moment of silence for @LisaMarieFans.

After another RHOV blogger falsely reported that Lisa Marie Blair was a new housewife, an over-eager RHOV fan made a fan page for her.  If they're quick, they can maybe change it to Amanda/Robin/Ioulia fans before other people start claiming them.

Season 1 Cast: What Are They Up To Now?

Seems like only yesterday we were meeting the likes of Ronnie Negus, Mary Zilba, Christina Kiesel, Reiko Mackenzie and Jody Claman. Now season 2's underway and with some new faces. Sadly Reiko and Christina left for different reasons, but we're excited to meet new wives Robin Reichman, Amanda Hansen and Ioulia Reynolds.

But what's season one's cast up to now?

Ronnie Negus: she recently wrote a children's book called "Mommy Why?" to inspire compassion and understanding in children.

Jody Claman: has two new cookbooks in the works, recently opened a store called Jody's Fine Foods, and has expanded her store The Glass House to Montreal and soon, Toronto.

Mary Zilba: no word on if she launched her scarf line. But apparently Blue Tulum is still being considered for launch. She also has a new cosmetics line called Buff Beauty and launched a fragrance.

Christina Kiesel: hard to keep up with since she doesn't use Twitter, but allegedly she's working on a travel show

Reiko Mackenzie: since the show, she has separated from her husband and began dating DJ Kasha Kennedy. She's also rumored to be working on a cookbook.

Who's Friends With Who For Season 2?

I've been looking at Twitter to see which housewives get along with who to determine the outcome of season 2. So far I have this:

Team Jody: new housewife Amanda Hansen announced her loyalty to Jody in one of the teaser videos released by Slice. Frequent tweeting between Ronnie and Jody, and their fanpages leads me to belive they're also on the in.

Team Mary: Robin Reichman and Mary seem to be fairly close. They also frequently tweet each other nice messages

Team Ronnie: everybody but Mary seems to be Team Ronnie so far

Team New Wives: they all seem to get along with each other and everybody else...for now

Was Ronnie and Mary's Fight Staged?

A trip into the nitty-gritty of the Internet (forums) has revealed that the fight between Ronnie and Mary at the car show may have been staged. Looking it over, anyone who knows women and has taken at least an introduction course to film editing shows that may be true.

Evidence #1: Mary and Ronnie Sat Next to Each Other

Not once in the histroy of woman-kind has two fighting women with a choice sat next to each other. Yet at Reiko's runway gig, Ronnie and Mary were in fact side by side. Had they really been fighting, they could have switched seats with Jody or Christina.

Evidence #2: False Lip Reading?

The part where Ronnie turns to Jody and allegedly whispers "Mary better not say a word..." could not have been picked up by their mics. They're too far out of range for what they said to have been picked up. For all we know, it could have been a comment about the weather. The picture below shows Jody and Ronnie's mics in red. Jody's is too far from her ear and Ronnie has her head turned away from hers. How would production have known what they said, and it's doubtful either housewife remembered.

Evidence #3: Sightings of Ronnie and Mary Together

A few people have written in various blogs and forums about seeing Ronnie and Mary walk together at the car show. But good editing could have made it seem as if they were avoiding each other.  Would two women who dislike each other hang out?

New Info on the Wives

Well I just got some information from a Vancouverite and he says there's some truth and some falsehoods to the lives and scandles of the Real Housewives of Vancouver. Here's some of the information I got:

  • Christina never was a prostitute. She marrid a wealthy guy at 19, then left him for someone even wealthier- David Aisenstat, owner of The Keg. Both men do quite well of more than likely Christina got a good divorcee settlement
  • Jody did not start her business with $800. She comes from a wealthy family and they supported her business ventures. But the bit about her and Mia causing trouble in Vancouver is true. They call themselves the "Claman Sisters". Also Mia is still a confirmed skank.
  • Mary has been married twice to men who made lots of money. The "venture capitalist" she referred to is her second husband.
  • Ronnie is rich in thanks to her third husband. Also she has 4 kids by 3 different men.
  • Reiko's husband, Sun News Lal, did have mob connections but that was before they were married. The mystery is where their current source of income comes from. Some say he comes from a wealthy family and others say he still has connection with the Indo-Canadian mob.
